Civic Amenity Site
Dillon Waste is proud to operate the first indoor civic amenity site in Ireland, offering a clean, weather-protected, and well-organized facility for members of the public to responsibly dispose of and recycle household waste.
Located at our Monavalley site in Tralee, this award-winning centre is a valuable resource for the local community and plays a key role in promoting sustainable waste practices.
What You Can Recycle – Free of Charge
We provide dedicated receptacles for a range of commonly recycled household materials. There are no disposal costs for the following items, once they are correctly deposited in the designated bins:
- Aluminium cans
- Corrugated cardboard
- Glass bottles – Separate bins for Clear, Green, and Brown glass
- Scrap metal
- Steel cans
- Textiles – Clothes and shoes
Our recovery network collects, sorts, and processes these materials for recycling, reducing landfill use and supporting the circular economy.
General Waste Disposal
You can also dispose of general household waste at our civic site. A charge applies and is calculated either:
- Per bag, or
- By weight, using our pit-mounted weighbridge system
This system provides fair, accurate pricing based on the actual volume of waste disposed.
Other Accepted Items
In addition to recyclables and general waste, we also accept:
- Batteries
- Timber
- Garden waste
- Rubble
Please note: Hazardous waste, such as asbestos, is not accepted at our facility.
